Portal Setup

Backend: Supabase (shared database + staff authentication)

All students and assessments are stored centrally. Multiple staff can conduct assessments at the same time.

Larger touch targets and autosave every few seconds for busy assessment days.

Academic year

Open a new admissions year or archive the current one without losing records.

Staff access

1. Create staff users in Supabase → Authentication (public sign-up is disabled for public signup; family/job portals use their own accounts).
2. A staff_profiles row is created automatically for assessment staff.
3. Promote an admin only via the SQL Editor if needed.
